Meet The Animals

Zoo New York is one of a kind. Why? We’ve made it our priority to display only the animals of New York State. From the majestic Roosevelt Elk to the graceful Bald Eagle, all of these amazing creatures are well adapted to New York’s climate and geography. A visit to the zoo is not only an opportunity to see unique animals, it’s a chance to view our rich natural history.

We pride ourselves on promoting the conservation of the natural wildlife of New York State; in fact, we’ve made it our mission. Many of the animals you see at this zoo have been rescued, rehabilitated, and are now living out the rest of their days to help promote education. See some of their stories below.

Hours of Operation

November – April:
Saturdays & Sundays 11 AM to 3 PM

May – October:
Daily 10 AM to 5 PM

Last general admission at 4:30 PM.
